I think this will be a slow week for football. The main games to watch this week are: Ravens @ Giants, Cowboys @ Redskins, Vikings @ Buccaneers, Broncos @ Falcons and of course Jets @ Patriots.

There is an addition of two games this week for 16 as compared to the 14 played last week. Most of these match-ups seem either one-sided or just unimportant to possible playoff birth, in my (Matchz) opinion.

NOTE: This post is subjected to being updated again before Sunday in accordance with more injury updates. We just wanted it up before tonights game.

Picks after the Jump



New York Jets vs. New England Patriots
Gogoluver: Jets I think as long as the Jets hand off the ball off to Thomas Jones at least 25 or so times they should win this game. Let us hope that it does not come down to the wire because Brett Favre as of late has been throwing picks and not tipped ball picks more like straight to the other team picks. But with the Patriots defense being week by injuries I feel the Jets will take this one.
Matchz Malone: Patriots The Patriots have beaten the Jets in 10 out of the last 11 games... That speaks volumes to me.
Myjestik: Jets I know the Jets only beat the Pats once since Bellecheat has been coaching, but with so many injuries, I can't really see them winning. No Adaius, no Rodney, no Maroney, and Ty Law is back... in a Jet's jersey. I just hope Brett doesn't do anything stupid.

Denver Broncos vs. Atlanta Falcons
Gogoluver: Falcons I probably say this everytime the Falcons play but Micheal the Burner Turner is a beast. Matt Ryan is looking like he is going to get rookie of the year slightly over Joe Flacco.
Matchz Malone: Falcons Tatum Bell is BACK! He's one of my favorite running backs. Unfortunately... The addition of him to the broncos won't be enough to put the game away, they're looking too thin in the backfield.
Myjestik: Falcons Michael Turner > Tatum Bell.

Detriot Lions vs. Carolina Panthers
Gogoluver: Panthers If you look at the Lions schedule, it looks like they are not going to win a game. All the teams they are playing at the end of the season are looking to get in the playoffs and won't let the bum Lions take that away from them. It will be a sad thing if they go 0-16 but it is very possible that it might happen.
Matchz Malone: Panthers Lets see, an 0-9 team vs a 7-2 team. You do the math.
Myjestik: Panthers Do we even have to pick this game. We should already get an automatic win for the Panthers. Even if Daunte performs well, there secondary is abysmal and Steve Smith will have like 200 yards on them.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Gogoluver: Eagles The Eagles looked good last week against the Giants even though a couple questionable calls so I think they will take care of the Bengals easy since they are still playing catch up in the NFC east.
Matchz Malone: Eagles Honestly for some reason I could see this game being upset. But I'm going to have to go with my gut (and their records) and say Philly takes this home.
Myjestik: Eagles I'm pretty sure that Fitzpatrick guy will get sacked on maybe 3 or 4 times as much as the Eagles blitz. It's pretty amazing how I don't know the name of the starting quarterback in Cinci, but I guess that's what happens when you don't win games.

New Orleans Saints vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Gogoluver: Chiefs People always say Reggie Bush might have possibly a bust but obviously not because he was the person that kept the Saints in games so they can get over the hump with their weak defense. But they don't have him anymore so I will pick the Chiefs in the UPSET PICK. Larry Johnson is also back.
Matchz Malone: Saints See what I'm saying here, all the games this week for the most part seem kind of lopsided. Saints bring this one home.
Myjestik: Saints If Drew Brees can put up 400 yards against the Falcons, I believe he can do way more against this sorry Chiefs team, which is surprisingly getting better. They just never know how to win.

Baltimore Ravens vs. New York Giants
Gogoluver: Giants Matchz always give me these stats. "Flacco got rookie of the week...we have the number one rush defense...BLAH BLAH." All that is thrown out the window when they go on the gridiron. Okay, the Ravens averaged 33.5 in their last 3 games against Oakland, Cleveland, and Houston? Whatever makes you happy Matchz. But I am still going to go with the Giants winning 20-10. I changed my prediction.
Matchz Malone: Ravens This is going to be a great game. The Unstoppable Force (Giants rush offense) vs the Immovable Object (Ravens rush defense). The immovable object takes this one home with the help of a new and improved ravens offense averaging 33.5 points a game.
Myjestik: Giants This will be the hardest game to chose.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Gogoluver: Buccaneers Cadillac is finally back and Jeff Garcia is definitely a better a quarterback than Gus. So I expect the Bucs defense to contain Adrian Peterson and win this one.
Matchz Malone: Vikings These teams match up really well. I'm giving the edge to the Vikings though.
Myjestik: Vikings Adrian Peterson is coming off a monster game and the Buccs don't look to good. I give the momentum to the Vikings on the road.

Oakland Raiders vs. Miami Dolphins
Gogoluver: Dolphins They might even try Ricky Williams play quarterback all game just for practice on the bum ass Raiders. What a joke team.
Matchz Malone: Dolphins I could care less who wins this game. But the winner will be Miami, plus the Raiders are on a nice 3 game losing steak, while the Dolphins are on a 3 game winning streak.
Myjestik: Dolphins I don't trust the Raiders. It doesn't even matter if they are on a 3 game winning streak when they only won twice. Who's excited for the draft!?! lol

Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers
Gogoluver: Packers The Packers might have lost a tough one just against the Vikings but they won't let the Bears do it. Aaron Rodgers is going to take care of business.
Matchz Malone: Packers Home field advantage plus an 11th ranking passing offense, versus a 30th ranked passing defense spells trouble. T-R-O-U-B-L-E, TROUBLE.
Myjestik: Packers Is Kyle playing? If not I'm going with Packers. If Kyle was playing, he'd probably be too rusty to play a good Packers team.

Houston Texans vs. Indianapolis Colts
Gogoluver: Colts Since when have the Ravens got an automatic bid to the playoffs? I think you all need to worry about you all tough games at the end of the season first. BUT ANYWHO, the Colts will take care of this one easy. CRUNCH TIME= MANNING TIME.
Matchz Malone: Colts As much as I want the Texans to win this one because I'd hate for the Ravens to have to face the Colts in the playoffs. The Colts are simply the better team, Indy handed it to the Steelers last week. Thats got to mean something.
Myjestik: Colts It's time for Sage to redeem himself after the horrendous game he had the last time these two teams met. Too bad, he's not a good quarterback and knowing him, he'll probably do the same thing again.

St. Louis Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers
Gogoluver: 49ers Matchz didn't watch that great performace the 49ers had against the Cardinals. So he doesn't know that Shaun Hill looked like Joe Montana out there. Okay, maybe that is too much but I feel the 49ers will give Mike Singletary his first win as a head coach.
Matchz Malone: Rams I flipped a coin :-/
Myjestik: 49ersTrent Green is starting for the Rams (I believe), and I've been watching Trent for a very long time since he was in the AFC West for some time. Anyone who plays defense on the 9ers are loving this match up because Trent is like a elephant in the pocket and the o-line of the Rams isn't that great. Patrick Willis and the rest of this defense will win the game. If not, Singletary may have to do something more drastic than pulling down his pants... no homo.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks
Gogoluver: Cardinals They can put in Matt Leinart now because they are coasting their way into the playoffs.
Matchz Malone: Cardinals Lookie here, Cardinals looking like a real team this season. I have no idea where this came from, anyway Cardinals beat the Slumping Seahawks.
Myjestik: Cardinals Matt's back, but came at the wrong time because the hot Cardinals don't even look like they have signs of slowing down. They could have lost to the 9ers on Monday, but somehow had a goal line stance in the 4th quarter. I didn't watch it, I'm just going off of high lights.

Tennessee Titans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Gogoluver: Titans Chris Johnson will get back on track and have a beastly game. Take the pressure off grandpa Kerry.
Matchz Malone: Titans There's a real chance the Titans go undefeated this season. What has the NFL come to where records like this are becoming casual practice? I think these divisions need to be reworked.
Myjestik: Titans I would love to say the Jags because they are my favorite team in this division, but they are not all that's cracked up to be. I see the Titans winning a low scoring game, like usual.

San Diego Chargers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Gogoluver: Steelers Chargers are not all they cracked up to be this year without Shawn Merriman. It is quite sad. Steelers will win with or without Big Ben. Willie Parker can carry the load if he can't play.
Matchz Malone: CHARGERS! Lets be clear, I don't expect the Chargers to win, but I want them to win enough that I am going to pick them. LT is going to have a breakout game against this tough Steelers defense... I just know he will. Obviously this is my upset of the week.
Myjestik: Steelers It actually depends on the shoulder of Big Ben. He's played through pain before, but he's been putting up very low numbers this year. I know the defense will be there, but if Ben is not, they may lose the game.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins
Gogoluver: Redskins I am a little iffy if Clinton does not play but I still feel we can take care of business. Everybody praises Tony Romo but he clinches under pressure no matter who he is playing. So with the pressure of the Cowboys not making the playoffs he will lose the game for them.
Matchz Malone: RedskinsThe Redskins are about to recharge their season after that Pittsburgh loss. They had a bye week to incorporate D. Hall into their defense. Its sad Clinton probably won't be playing but I still believe the Redskins have it in them to pull this one out.
Myjestik: Redskins I heard Romo was back, but the Boys are too disfunctional to win against a very good Redskins team. If they use D. Hall correctly they may have a gem. Everyone knows that players go to Oakland to die.

Cleveland Browns vs. Buffalo Bills
Gogoluver: Bills I need the Bills to win because I have a bet with a friend of mine that the Patriots will not make the playoffs. It is not looking too good right now but I can keep hope alive. GO BILLS!
Matchz Malone: Bills Can we please fire whomever is scheduling these Monday Night games. They are failing me right now. Bills win this by a 10, the Browns have too much locker room turmoil to concentrate at this one.
Myjestik: Browns Brady played pretty well and I wouldn't be upset if he actually took one on the road. Jamal Lewis was pretty upset with the performance of his team last week and he should be the one to fire them up against the Bills.
